Sunday, April 23rd – Luca, 3 year old, loves Thomas The Train, and it was his birthday party on Saturday, April 22nd. Luca’s mother is working with me, and is often tasting the things I am bringing on Monday morning at the office. She decided to “externalise” the confection of the birthday cake to me. She says that she is really not gifted at all when it comes to cakes. I swear, baking is simple, much easier than cooking (I am a bad cook). Anyway, I accepted her request, and started studying to produce a lovely Thomas The Train cake for Luca. As always I get my inspirations from the internet, look for the techniques in the online videos, do some maths and logistics, and there we are. Friday night, 2 hours and Saturday morning 2.5 hours, and happy with the result. At 10am, Thomas The Train cake was gently put on the passenger seat of my car, ready to be delivered at this beautiful, peaceful place chosen by Luca’s mom. It was sweet to see Luca’s big smile when arriving there. Happy sweet Birthday Luca.
